The museum with a difference

The Bremerhaven architect Wolfgang Bendig designed an elongated building for the Historisches Museum Bremerhaven/Morgenstern-Museum that is flooded with light. Its design is reminiscent of the original buildings along the banks of the river Geeste. The cultural anthropologist and educational museum designer Dr. Anja Benscheidt, together with the historian and designer of the museum Dr. Alfred Kube have succeeded in developing a museum concept that comes to life and combines the architecture of the building with the architecture of the exhibition itself to form a self-contained entity.
