Art

The art collection mainly includes works of artists who were born or lived in Bremerhaven and the surrounding area as well as works which have the seaport as their subject. There are many works, for example, by  Paul Ernst Wilke, Sophie Wencke, Paul Kunze or Erich Viehweger, to mention just a few of the famous names represented in the museum. Most of the  works are oil paintings, water colours and drawings, but there are also a few sculptures.
